Game Development – Unity (ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

Let’s start with Game Development! Young people will learn to use the most popular video game creation tool of the moment: Unity. At the same time, we will learn how to make a game without code, i.e. visual scripting or visual programming language. This enables beginners to learn programming faster and an easier transition to the “real” programming language: C#. During the course, we will make two real games that you can show to your friends or classmates and that you can play together.

The course will be held live via the Internet or more precisely via video conference.

• First, let’s learn about the Unity tool. Next comes the planning of the project – how to prepare it and how to tackle it. We start by setting up the scene, the actor, the obstacles.
• Introduction to visual scripting or visual programming language. This is where we start programming and adding logic to the game. The following is the first working practical example, or game!
• Introduction to the C# programming language. We start programming with the C# programming language and the Visual Studio tool, here we make another working practical example, or the game.

Participants do not need prior knowledge of programming, as the program starts with the basics. The course will be held in English language. The Smartninja course is suitable for young people from the age of 10, and everyone interested in the basics of developing computer games in Unity can apply.

Every Wednesday 5 – 6.30 pm.

Each participant needs a computer with at least 8GB of RAM and a solid internet connection.

No worries! All students have access to our curriculum, where they have an overview of all lessons. If you ever miss a lesson, there is no problem, because you can make up the missed lesson yourself.

Also, the instructor will record his lessons so that you can watch the lesson again later on your own, or make up for a missed lesson. An instructor is always available for questions and programming assistance.
