A course held ONLINE with a LIVE instructor. The Web Development 1 course is suitable for total beginners and gives you fundamental programming knowledge. After the course, you’ll be able to write computer programs and develop websites and web applications completely on your own. You’ll learn how to use front-end languages HTML and CSS, which are the basis of the web – every website needs them. For the back-end development, you’ll learn a programming language Python which you’ll use to create your first (but not last) web application and put it online on a server hosting provider.

Program

First part: Front-end development

Most of the programmers took their first steps into web development with front-end languages HTML and CSS. In addition, you’ll learn a popular CSS framework Bootstrap, and begin building your programming CV on GitHub.

Second part: Basics of programming in Python

You’ll learn the basics of programming in Python due to its clean and elegant syntax one of the most popular programming languages in the world. Once you know how to program in one language, switching to another is easy, since programming principles are the same almost everywhere.

Third part: Back-end development

Besides the front end, every serious website needs also a back end. You’ll learn to build it using Python and upload your website to a server hosting provider Render.

This course is very practice-oriented. During the course, you’ll program many smaller (and one larger) projects which will help you get much-needed coding mileage. You will also include all the projects on GitHub which can serve as a sort of your personal coding CV.

Pre-knowledge

Course participants don’t need any prior coding knowledge because you’ll learn everything from scratch. The course will be held in ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

Schedule

The course takes place twice a week, each Monday and Thursday between 17:00 and 18:30 (24 sessions in total).

What do I need with me?

Each participant needs a computer with at least 4GB of RAM and a solid internet connection.

What if I miss a session?

Every student gets access to the Student dashboard where you can see all the lessons. If you miss some course sessions don’t worry – you can study the lesson on your own at home. There are also five recap lessons during the course where you can make up for the missing sessions.
